Our Commitment to Sustainability

At AI Technical, we believe that delivering great technical production isn't just about putting on a successful event. It's also about thinking carefully about how we work, the equipment we use and the impact our projects have on the environment.
Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important part of the events and production industry, and we believe it should be approached in a practical and realistic way. For us, it's about making better decisions wherever we can, without compromising the quality, reliability or performance our clients expect.
Using Energy More Efficiently
Technical production can require significant amounts of power, particularly for larger events.
We therefore consider power requirements during the planning process and aim to select equipment that delivers the required performance as efficiently as possible.
This can include using energy-efficient lighting, selecting appropriately sized equipment and ensuring systems are planned correctly before arriving on site.
Small decisions made during the planning stage can make a meaningful difference to the overall efficiency of a production.
Reuse, Repair and Maintain
We don't believe that equipment should automatically be replaced simply because newer technology is available.
Where equipment remains safe, reliable and suitable for the job, maintaining and repairing it can extend its useful life and reduce unnecessary waste.
We also look for opportunities to reuse suitable materials, cases and packaging throughout our operations.
For us, sustainability isn't always about buying something new. Sometimes it's about getting more life out of what we already have.
Sustainability Starts Before the Event
We believe sustainable event production starts during the planning process — not when the equipment arrives at the venue.
Working with clients, venues and production teams allows us to consider things such as equipment requirements, power consumption, transport and waste before the event begins.
Every production is different, so there isn't a single solution that works for everything. Instead, we look at the individual requirements of each project and identify practical opportunities to improve efficiency.
Working With Our Suppliers
Our approach to sustainability doesn't stop with our own operations.
The products, equipment and services we purchase all have an impact, which is why we consider factors such as product lifespan, efficiency, packaging, repairability and suitability when making purchasing decisions.
We also value long-term relationships with suppliers who share our commitment to responsible and efficient working practices.
Everyone Has a Part to Play
Sustainability isn't the responsibility of one person or one department.
Our team, technicians and freelance crew all play an important role in how efficiently a project is delivered.
From switching off equipment when it's not required to reducing unnecessary waste and looking after equipment properly, small actions across a project can add up.
We encourage everyone we work with to look for practical ways to improve how we operate.
Always Looking to Improve
We don't see sustainability as something that can simply be ticked off a list.
As AI Technical grows, we want our approach to grow with it.
We'll continue reviewing our equipment, logistics and working practices to identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency and minimise our environmental impact.
Technology is changing quickly, and so are the ways in which the events industry can work more sustainably. We're committed to learning, adapting and making responsible choices wherever we can.
Our Commitment
We know that no event can be completely without environmental impact. What we can do is take responsibility for the decisions within our control.
From the equipment we invest in and maintain, to the way we plan transport and deliver projects, we're committed to finding practical ways to work more sustainably.
For AI Technical, it's about doing things properly — delivering the technical quality our clients rely on while continually looking for better, more responsible ways to work.
Better planning. Smarter choices. More sustainable production.
